Animal portraits

Below are examples of more commissioned work showing a selection of horses, cats and dogs. Capturing the spirit of the horse on paper is strong interest of mine. I feel horses are such majestic animals and each one tells a story of its own. I especially enjoyed the pastel below of "Belgo", it was lovely to work on an image of a horse in training as i liked getting the fine detail of the musculature across his neck and topline.
